Faculty of Advocates
The Faculty of Advocates is an independent body of approximately 460 lawyers, based in Edinburgh. Advocates are grouped into stables and clerks are responsible for organising their diaries and appointments which include court appearances, meetings with judges and defendants. These appointments are managed by Clerks and Advocates using MS Exchange Server, MS Outlook and Blackberries. An auditing application was required to track all changes made to appointments and who made them. SIS developed Exchange Synch Events, which monitored all additions, deletions and amendments to appointments and stored them in a separate MS SQL Server database.

Conveyance Link/ID Your Client
Conveyance Link required a new web site IDYourClient.com which performed money laundering checks via web service calls to the GBGROUP . A large number of checks can be made to check a person's identity including passport number, driving license number, address and utility bill account numbers. SIS worked with Waterston's to develop web services which provided identity check facilities for solicitors.
