In order to extend our payment solution portfolio we incorporated a commercial BACS approved direct debit bureau, Secure Collections Ltd. In conjunction with Secure Collections we provide paperless direct debit signup pages for a range of uses, from lottery and regular giving to rent collection and much more.
To become a direct debit originator you first need to apply to your bank for a direct debit service user number. As a commercial direct debit bureau, Secure Collections provides direct debit services to clients who have originator status and have their own service user number, meaning the indemnity lies with the client.
We are associated with a financial management bureau who can collect monies under their service user number where they accept the indemnity risk. The fees for this service are higher than for a commercial direct debit bureau service.
Secure Collections store your customer data and collect regular or variable payments directly into your bank account. Using BACS reports we can then manage the unpaid transactions, amendments and cancellations. Optionally, we can generate letters to your customers to ensure you comply with advance notice requirements.
We have created bank approved paperless direct debit sign up screens allowing our clients to capture customer data on the internet directly into the bureau. Some of our clients that take advantage of this service are Great North Air Ambulance, St Oswald’s Hospice and Newcastle College.
We can also provide advice and guidance plus access to the appropriate web services to allow our clients to build their own paperless direct debit sign up pages.
